Mithya Web Series Review

It’s always good to watch a psychological thriller when suspense, drama, action and paranoia keep the audience off their seats. Similarly, the two central characters – Juhi Adhikari (Huma S Qureshi) and Riya Rajguru (Avantika Dasani) keep the audience hooked to their story of consecutive nights as the mystery behind ‘Mithya’ begins to reveal itself,

With the writers (Anvita Dutt, Althiya Kaushal and former Naresh) spinning a tale of infidelity, manipulation, and uncovering some deeply dark secrets. Information hiding techniques work most of the time to create tension from the audience, and Rohan Sippy’s six-part series has enough gunpowder to hide the mystery while exploring the toxic relationship between a teacher and his student.

Based on the British TV show ‘Cheat’, ‘Mithya’ is based in Darjeeling and is based on the life of Hindi literature professor Juhi. Professionally, he is the most qualified candidate for the position of Head of Department (HOD) of the University and an aspiring writer. On the personal front, she is married to Neil (Parambrata Chatterjee) and they are trying to have a child. Everything seems to be in order from a distance and Juhi seems satisfied with her life.

However, as we learn more about her, such as when she has sexual fantasies about her colleague Vishal (Indranil Sengupta), who proposes her name for the post of HOD, or when she meets her best friend Sharmishtha. (Naina) discussing her married life. Sareen), reveals the issues she is facing in her day-to-day life, as well as her anxiety episodes.

There isn’t much out-and-out action, but the narrative carefully arranges the jigsaw pieces to set up the climactic act. As the story progresses, the climax becomes somewhat predictable, yet it delivers the satisfying ending it deserves.

Even when the plot falls flat, the main characters, Huma S Qureshi and debutante Avantika Dasani, manage to grab the attention of the audience with their intense acts. Huma looks beautiful in simple saris and is a perfect fit for the role of Professor Juhi. Avantika (daughter of ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ fame Bhagyashree) chooses a tough role as a maniac for her first acting role, but she looks surprisingly confident and confident on screen.

Rhea is always seen wearing a jacket teamed with skinny jeans and leather boots to show off her casual and casual attitude. However, she communicates half-heartedly as she is not suitable for such a bleak person.

As Juhi’s parents, both Rajit Kapoor and Avantika Akarkar have lead roles. Parambrata Chatterjee’s believable performance will surely make you loathe his character Neil and his life choices.

The picturesque magnificence of Darjeeling coupled with snowy weather, rain and the greenery of the Himalayan foothills add to the beauty of the script. Also, the background music (by Ripul Sharma and George Joseph) is effective and syncs well with the plot.
